Charlotte Baker expands leadership role in leading international professional association of the technology services industry

TAMPA, Fla. – (Mar. 20, 2013) – Digital Hands, a global managed security services provider, today announced that its CEO, Charlotte Baker, has been named a founding member of the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) Managed Services discipline.

“It’s a privilege to serve as a founding member of the TSIA Managed Services discipline at a time when the managed services market is experiencing explosive growth,” said Baker.  “I look forward to working with other thought leaders in the discipline to help TSIA members navigate this market.  Our goal is to provide them with the expert insights and education they will need to achieve success.”

The Managed Services discipline was created to offer TSIA members best practices for operating a successful managed services business through benchmarking, peer collaboration, conference participation, webinars and whitepapers (known as TSIA Service Insights).

The role of the founding members is to provide input toward and feedback on the establishment of the benchmark study – the cornerstone of the Managed Services discipline.

“We are honored to include Digital Hands’ Charlotte Baker as a founding member of the TSIA Managed Services discipline,” said Thomas Lah, executive director of TSIA. “Managed services are moving rapidly to the forefront of the business environment as an increasingly significant strategic revenue line. We look forward to working with Ms. Baker and the additional founding members as we establish and achieve best practices within this key service discipline.”

TSIA’s ranks include thousands of services executives, managers, and professionals from around the globe, representing the world’s leading enterprise and consumer technology companies, as well as scores of innovative small and midsize businesses across nine vertical industries.

This leadership appointment with TSIA is Baker’s second since last year. In March 2012, she was among a dozen thought leaders from top technology service organizations around the world named to the TSIA Support Services Advisory Board.  The Support Services Advisory Board collaborates with TSIA executive management to strengthen the Support Services discipline, improve the operating results of support services businesses, and enhance support services careers by defining important industry issues, trends, and opportunities.
